MOVING PETS TO INDIA: HOW IS THIS DONE?

Your travel plans to India are starting to take shape, but you still have a few questions about your pet’s trip. Below you will find some information that may be useful in helping you to prepare your pets’ trip as best possible.

By choosing the PREMIUM package we can take care of all, or some of these steps for you.

The minimum time period between the start of formalities to be carried out and your pet’s trip to India is at least two months.

For your pet’s travel arrangements, you will also be asked for:

• A “No Objection Certificate” (NOC), that you will need to obtain from the “Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries”. In order to process your application, you will need to contact them a few months prior to your departure if possible.
• A certificate of good health, that your vet will issue within seven days prior to your departure, on a document separate to your animal’s passport. You will then need to have it certified and stamped by the Departmental Directorate for Public Protection (the “DDPP”, ex-DSV), in your region.
