VETERINARY PROTOCOL AND ADMINISTRATIVE STEPS ABOUT PET TRANSPORT TO SPAIN
To ensure that your dogs, cats or other pets meet the requirements for importation into Spain, they will need:
- An animal passport
- A microchip
- Be vaccinated against rabies (dating more than 30 days, but less than a year)They must have had a rabies antibody titration done (dating more than 30 days after the vaccination, but less than a year prior to departure)
- An international certificate of good health (document issued separately from their passport, dating to within the last ten days and stamped by the Departmental Directorate for Public Protection (the “DDPP”) in your region).
Once all these steps have been followed, your pet is finally ready to board their flight to Spain.
