MOVING PETS TO RUSSIA : HOW IS THIS DONE?
Your four-legged friend is going along with you to the country of Tsars… To ensure that their trip goes as smoothly as possible, you need to adhere to the conditions listed below.

The minimum time period between the start of formalities to be carried out and your pet’s trip to Russia is at least 1.5 months.
VETERINARY PROTOCOL AND ADMINISTRATIVE STEPS ABOUT ANIMAL TRANSPORT TO RUSSIA
Your cat or dog must:
- Have a Pet Passport
- Be identifiable through a microchip
- Have all of their vaccinations up-to-date
- Be vaccinated against rabies (vaccine dating more than 30 days, but less than a year prior to departure)
In addition, for the transportation of live animals to Russia, an “International Certificate of Good Health” must be issued by your vet, within a maximum time period of ten days prior to the date of departure. This certificate must be certified and stamped by the Departmental Directorate for Public Protection (the “DDPP”) in your region.
Once all of these procedures have been followed, your pet is able to travel and enter the Russian territory with no problem.
