MOVING PETS TO BRAZIL: HOW IS THIS DONE?
Travelling from Europe to Brazil can be a major change for your pet, and to arrange your pet’s trip, certain rules need to be adhered to.
By choosing the PREMIUM package, we can take care of all, or some of these steps for you.
The minimum time period between the start of formalities to be carried out and your pet’s trip is at least two weeks.
VETERINARY PROTOCOL AND ADMINISTRATIVE STEPS ABOUT PET TRANSPORT TO BRAZIL
For the transportation of live animals to Brazil, your dog or cat needs to have:
- A microchip (tattoos are not regulatory for importing pets into Brazil).
- A European passport (your vet can provide you with one!).
- Received their rabies booster (rabies vaccine) at least 30 days prior to the departure date, but also less than a year prior to this date.
- Have a health certificate specific to Brazil. This certificate needs to be issued less than ten days prior to departure. This document must also be certified and stamped by the Departmental Directorate for Public Protection (the “DDPP“) in your region.
Once these requirements have been met, all that remains to be done is to book your flight to Brazil!
