Is ATA responsible for verifying that the documents and cage are in order?

Does Air Transport Animal take care of checking that the documents and the cage are compliant for the transport and arrival of my animal at its destination?

We systematically check that the cage complies with IATA air transport regulations and the airline’s rules. We also check that your file is complete for export, that is to say that you provide all the documents required for transport.

This is what we call export documentary control.

However, detailed verification of phytosanitary documents is not systematic.

This refers to the extensive control of identification certificates, vaccination records or passports, blood tests and titration, import permits, certificate of good health.
